Movie Review: The Avengers
Marvel's The Avengers was one of the best summer movies I've seen so far. It was full of great action scenes , amazing actors, and some of the best special effects I've seen in awhile. It had a great plot too, about bringing together a team of superheros from different places and different backgrounds to stop a force that no mere human can defeat. One of the best things about this movie was the actors. If you've seen the most recent Marvel films like Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, you'll love those characters, as well as the talented actors who play them in this movie. Tony Stark (Iron Man), played by Robert Downey Jr., brought the comedy, and also the action, with his character in the movie, just like in both the Iron Man films. Another character I enjoyed in the movie was Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, the WWII soldier who volunteers for a super-soldier experiment and becomes Captain America. I liked this character in The Avengers because his story picks up right after the end of the Captain America movie, where he crash-landed in the Arctic and stayed frozen for nearly 70 years, leading to present day. After being "defrosted", Rogers joins the team, looking the same he did in 1942. Another character I liked was the famous green monster, The Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo after being played by two other actors in the other films. The Hulk was an amazing addition to the movie with the help of some great special effects. The Hulk had some awesome action scenes too, jumping off buildings and throwing around anything in its way, including the evil mastermind Loki, god of thunder Thor's adopted brother and the main villain of the movie. Even though Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and The Hulk steal the show in this movie, the other Avengers also make great additions to this great summer movie. The other two Avengers are Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner, who played talented archer Hawkeye and Natasha Romanoff, played by Scarlett Johansson, who played a highly-trained spy known as Black Widow working for S.H.I.E.L.D. The Avengers was an amazing movie with explosive action, laugh-out-loud comedy, and an awesome cast of actors. Now, instead of boring you with more words about this film, I'm just gonna give you one piece of advice: If you haven't seen this movie or you want to see it again, I have three words for you...SEE THE MOVIE!!!
Rating: I gave this movie a 10 out of 10 for amazing action, a awesome cast, and some of the greatest special effects ever. Some people may not agree with me, but after you see the movie, I think you'll change your mind. :)
